EVENTO
Introduction to shape optimization and nonlinear PDEs
Tipo de evento: Seminário LNCC
In the first part of the talk some examples of shape and topology optimization problems are presented. Two dimensional PDEs are considered in radial symmetry. The domain decomposition technique is discussed on the elementary level. In the second part of the talk modern theory of nonlinear PDEs is applied to growth modeling in nonlinear thermoelasticity : Growth Modeling in MechanicsThe model of volumetric material growth is introduced in the framework of finite elasticity. The state variables include the deformations, temperature and the transplant matrix function. The ellposedness of the proposed model is shown. The existence of local in time classical solutions for the quasistatic deformations boundary value problem coupled with the energy balance and the growth evolution of the transplant is obtained. The new mathematical results for a broad class of growth models in mechanics and biology are presented.ReferencesJean-François Ganghoffer, Pavel I.
